My InStyle Weddings cover shoot was a dream come true. I was flown to New York City just five days before my wedding, which sounds crazy, but by that point I was in cherish mode. All the wedding details were basically set and now I wanted to enjoy the ride. No doubt, this was a pretty amazing way to start the festivities.
I truly felt like a Princess! It was a two-day shoot photographed by renowned photographer Brian Bowen Smith. I wore at least a dozen designer wedding gowns, sky high heels and bling for days. I got to play the parts of all the different "brides" one can be: Girly, modern, hippie, glam…there are a million different ways to go. That was the hardest part for me planning my own wedding was deciding "who I was."
I finally chose the dress that made me feel the most blissful - the Monique Lhuillier Swan Lake dress. Twenty-four layers of tulle! It couldn’t have been cuter. Although the gun metal grey Vera Wang stunner I wore in the magazine would have been a very close second! What a gown that was. I have never had something so beautiful on my body. Paired with the DeBeers diamond and platinum bib was too much! That's one of my favorite images in the layout. It looks like I’m throwing rose petals in the air (when in reality two grips were throwing them AT me. So funny). I have a gleam in my eye that is pure joy. I remember thinking, "I am the luckiest bride in the entire world." See Bree's InStyle Weddings photo spread in the Gallery. (Photographer: Brian Bowen Smith. Courtesy of InStyle Magazine.)
